The Watson family

What a lovely morning I spent with the Watson family. I had photographed Sam and Jamie’s spectacular wedding a few years ago and I was very excited to see them again as a new family of 4!  

My shoots are always mega relaxed and often feel like a playdate as I want everyone to have a good time and I find this is the best way to capture really genuine moments.  Clarabell was super shy and dodged every click of my camera at first and but she gradually came out of her shell and her fun loving and cheeky personality shone out.  Little Layla was only a week old but was as good as gold with a mixture of sleeping, feeding and cuddles with Mum and Dad keeping her happy. 

We managed to pack so much into our morning together and I loved shooting in Sam and Jamie’s colourful house, the deep blue wall in their living room was such a treat to photograph against.  One of my favourite photos is of Clarabell engrossed in play and Sam cradling Layla in the background. I guess as a Mum of two those are some of the rare moments you treasure the most when both of your children are content at the same time. 

Venturing out into the meadow next to their house was a fitting finale to our time together. The location, light and fun family time created photographs bursting with joy.
