The Norton family

How lucky was I to get to spend the morning with the Norton family on a sunny wander around Westonbirt Arboretum.  Our time together was like any other family excursion with the usual mixture of adventures, mishaps and fun.  Children grow up so fast and I'm glad that they took the time out of their busy lives and asked me to document their family.  Laura wanted a real and beautiful portrait of them all together in a place that meant a great deal to them (Ed proposed at Westonbirt).   Despite all of them being a little camera shy at first, we just took our time and hung out together like it was any other day.  There was plenty of leaf picking (Sophie has a very good eye and Mummy is a tree expert) and lots of leaf catching and mole hill destroying too.  As the autumn sun came out then so did the real smiles.  I have to say that capturing them as they really relaxed and enjoyed precious moments together was such a joy.  My personal favourite photos were taken towards the end of the shoot and they even put a lump in my throat when I was editing them.

Thanks Laura, Ed, Sophie and William is was such a privilege to spend time with a lovely family like yours.
